Synopsis :

Franzy, an extra-terrestrial chief cook with a mischievous eye, goes to the stove to start making the soup for which only she knows the secret. What a surprise when she discovers that her recipe has magical powers!

Benshi's review :

To the beat of a perky disco track, Franzy heads to the kitchen, pulls on her chef’s hat and apron and starts rustling up her flamboyantly coloured soup. But what is the secret ingredient she sprinkles so liberally into the mix to make the soup truly extraordinary? All we know for sure is that this sumptuous concoction is made with love and it delights everyone who tries it! What’s more, it has an amazing effect on the funny little beasts with gurgling tummies who live on a nearby planet – transforming them into adorable pink winged creatures … Objects and characters in bas-relief joyously go about their business in a minimalist set made from cut paper. The kitchen utensils and colourful ingredients are reminiscent of play tea sets, while the characters have been carefully made with a mix of materials and fabrics to produce a consistent overall look and feel of softness and fantasy. For Franzy, this culinary experience is a chance to pass on her knowledge and make new friends. And we all know that the best meal is one that is shared and makes people happy – so then, get busy with the saucepans!
