Synopsis :

A mother gets back home and starts making a stew – thus begins a very elaborate undertaking: she chops the vegetables, sets the table, looks after her son, daughter and husband as well as the grandma before, finally, getting the whole family to sit down together for dinner. It all amounts to a highly complex operation that is deftly orchestrated by this dynamic mum!

Benshi's review :

An everyday scene: making dinner. It may seem simple, but here the scene is presented more as a battle or a ballet!

This short film is a tribute to parents everywhere, portraying them as veritable orchestra conductors! Against a background of high-tempo music, this mum returns from work and immediately takes on all the challenges that a household head can encounter: kids who refuse to set the table, constant demands that interrupt her efforts to cook, the expectation that everyone sits together for the meal and she manages the various needs of the son, daughter, husband and grandma – and all while she tries to cut carrots! Talk about hectic!

This short graduation film highlights – with no little humour – the exhausting everyday endeavours of mums everywhere. Who among us cannot identify with one or other of the roles depicted here? Oh yes, look carefully!

The music fits perfectly with the animation, creating a completely charming and exhilarating rhapsody. Here are two mind-blowing minutes that will definitely bring a smile to young and grown-up faces alike!
