1. Information and transparence
This document (the "Cookies Policy") is intended to inform the Users and Members of Benshi’s Website and Application of the terms and conditions of use of the cookies set by Saint Maur Entreprise SME (the "Company") in the context of Benshi’s Service, an editorialized offer of films for a young public with recommendations by age, and allowing the creation of profile(s) and the rating of films in case of account creation, and the streaming or downloading of video content in case of subscription to SVOD.
The Cookies Policy is made available to Users and Members during their browsing of the Website or the Application, in particular via a hypertext link in the cookie acceptance banner and in the footer.
The Company pays particular attention to the regulations relating to cookies, such as Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data, the French “Loi Informatique et Libertés” of 6 January 1978 in its updated version and the recommendation "cookies and other tracers" adopted by the CNIL by deliberation no. 2020-092 of 17 September 2020 (the "Cookie Regulations").
When accessing the Website or the Mobile Application, several types of cookies are placed or may be placed on the browsing terminal (computer, mobile, tablet or other, hereinafter the "Terminal") of Users and Members.
The Cookies Policy may be updated at any time by the Company to consider the evolution of the Cookies Regulation. Users and Members are invited to consult it regularly to read the latest version in force. Capitalized terms, whether in the singular or plural, shall have the meaning given to them herein, in the GTU or in the Privacy Policy.
2. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that may be stored, subject to the User's or Member's choice, in a dedicated space on the hard drive of their Terminal. It is transmitted by the server of a website to the browser of the User or Member. Cookies improve navigation, in particular by recording the pages you have already consulted.
The cookie file allows its issuer to identify the Terminal in which it is stored for the term of validity or storage of the cookie concerned.
3. How does the Company use cookies?
The cookies are intended to facilitate navigation on the Website or the Application, to study their use, particularly for statistical purposes or to improve the Service. The cookies placed by the Company have several uses depending on their category:
- Session cookies (mandatory)
These cookies are mandatory to ensure the functioning of the Website and the Application, to organize and optimize the display of the pages. They allow to improve the functioning and visual rendering as well as the navigation, in particular to return to the pages and addresses already visited. These cookies are temporary and only kept for the duration of the session and are deleted when the User or Member leaves the Site.

Authentication cookies allow the Member to access his or her account, using his or her credentials.

- Analytical cookies / audience metrics
Analytical and audience measurement cookies are used to produce statistics on the number of visitors, their path on the Website or the Application, to understand and improve the use and performance of the Website or the Application. The Data processed are aggregated and anonymized.
The Company uses several tools to measure the performance of the Website and the Application, including Google Analytics.
Google Analytics uses cookies to track the Users’ and Members’ path through the Website and Application allowing the Company to measure and improve the experience of Users and Members. Google Analytics combines the Visit Data it collects with Google data from the accounts of logged-in users who have consented to this combination.
Google’s data may include Users' and Members' geolocation, search history, YouTube history, and Data from Google's partner sites depending on the settings selected by Users and Members.
This Data is also used to provide aggregated and anonymous data about behavior between Terminals. Users and Members can manage permissions and associated data on Google My Activity.

- Social network / information sharing cookies
Social network cookies allow Users and Members to share the content of the Website or the Application with other people or to share their opinion on the content of the Website or the Application with third parties. On the Website and the Application, certain sharing buttons are integrated via third-party applications that may issue this type of cookie. The social network providing such an application button is likely to identify User or Member thanks to this button, even if he or she has not used this button. Indeed, this type of application button can allow the social network concerned to follow User's or Member's browsing on the Website or the Application, simply because User's or Member's account of the social network concerned is activated on their Terminal (open session).
Users and Members are invited to read the privacy policies of these social networks in order to learn about the purposes, including advertising, of the browsing information that these social networks may collect through these application buttons. 4. What are the rights of Users and Members?
Users or Members may oppose the installation of cookies at any time according to the procedure described below. This opposition will be considered by the installation of a "refusal cookie" on their Terminal. If this refusal cookie is deleted, the opposition will no longer be considered.
Opposition to the installation of cookies on the Terminal may alter and degrade the navigation and use of the Website and the Application of Users and Members.
Users and Members may also use cookie management software to set the parameters according to their wishes (e.g. TarteAuCitron or TagCommander). A list of software (non-exhaustive) is also proposed on the CNIL website.
Disabling cookies does not necessarily mean that no advertising will be displayed on the Website or the Application, but the recommendations that will be displayed will be much less likely to be relevant to the interests of Users and Members.
5. How can I object to the statistical and navigation cookies used?
Users or Members can disable the installation of cookies on their Terminal by changing their browser settings appropriately. Most browsers will indicate how to stop accepting new cookies, how to be notified when a new cookie is set and how to disable existing cookies. Users or Members can view and obtain browser-specific details by visiting allaboutcookies.org.
If Users or Members are not satisfied with their browsing experience, they may stop visiting the Website and the Application, delete cookies after their visit or change their browser settings.
Given the Company's use of cookies, refusing to use cookies may prevent Users or Members from taking full advantage of the features of the Website or the Application.
